Maurizio Arroyo Reyes is a Spanish pianist with an outstanding international career. He studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is currently continuing his training at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar with Grigory Gruzman.
As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras in the United Kingdom, playing piano concertos by Rachmaninoff and Grieg, and has given recitals in Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Greece, Belgium, Colombia, and the United Kingdom, including for BBC Radio 3 and in renowned venues such as the Palais Lichtenau (Potsdam), the Liszt House (Weimar), and St. Bartholomew the Great's Church (London).
He has been awarded numerous prizes, including first prize and the audience prize at the master class with Klaus Hellwig in Bern (2025), first prize and the audience prize at the Edwin Fischer Summer Academy in Potsdam (2023), and the Carnwath Piano Scholarship from the Musicians' Company in London (2020). Since the same year, he has been a member of their prestigious Young Artist Program.
As a recitalist, he has undertaken two tours of Scotland with Chamber Music Scotland. In 2025, he performed a recital at the Hrvatski Dom as part of the Loop Academy in Split and took part in the EMIV masterclasses in Vienna. He is also the artistic director of the Madrid a Tempo association, which promotes young talent in various concert halls in the Spanish capital.
