Award Ceremony and Exhibition
On December 13, the votes will be counted and the three winners announced. The prizes will be personally presented by the Head of the Department for Culture of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf District Office of Berlin, Mr. Jan Frontzek, and by the Director of the Pyramide Exhibition Center, Ms. Carolina Winkler.
Concept:
At the end of the year, the Marzahn Audience Award for Visual Arts, BETON FUCHS, will be awarded for the fourth time. From November 18 to December 12, 2025, the public can vote for their favorite artwork at the Projektraum Galerie M. This year, the top three places will be awarded. On December 13, 2025, starting at 6 p.m., the votes will be publicly counted at Projektraum Galerie M, and the winners will be announced.
1st place will receive a certificate, a statuette, and a cash prize of 500 euros. 2nd place will receive a certificate and a cash prize of 300 euros.
3rd place will receive a certificate and a cash prize of 200 euros.
On the day of the award ceremony, the statuette and certificates will be handed over, and all cash prizes will be transferred within a month via bank transfer.
Who can participate?
All artists, regardless of age, gender, educational background, or nationality, who physically submit their works on November 15, 2025, starting at 10 a.m. at Projektraum Galerie M, Marzahner Promenade 46, 12679 Berlin. Previous year’s award winners are excluded. The gallery will accept as many works as there is space for.
Each artist is given the choice of either 2 square meters of wall space (2 m high and 1 m wide) or 2 cubic meters of space in the room (2 m high and 1 m × 1 m on the floor) for the presentation of their work.
Artists may exhibit as many works as they can fit within the allotted space. The works will be numbered and will re main anonymous for the voting process. From November 18 to December 12, 2025, visitors can vote for their fa vorite work during the exhibition’s opening hours. Voting is anonymous and takes place only at the Projektraum using numbered cards. Once the prize is awarded, the names of all the artists will be revealed, and the exhibition will re main on display for another month.
Legal recourse is excluded.
Restrictions: No perishable, explosive, or dangerous items. Works containing hate speech or calling for violence and hatred against individuals or groups are excluded from the exhibition.
