from Kumar Muniandy - Part of MONO:MONO

A touching solo performance about a queer man caring for his ageing father while trying not to repeat the violence he grew up with. Caught between duty and exhaustion, love and anger, unfinished questions begin to surface and ordinary moments slip into something stranger: a safety workshop on how to make someone feel safe on a dark street corner, a murder plan that goes wrong, a ghost that refuses to comply, the sudden comfort of an old pop song.

Storytelling artist Kumar Muniandy invites us into a life that emotionally is at stake and looks for relief. But care is not gentle, and survival is not clean. Moving between dark humour, raw honesty, and unexpected tenderness, I’M COMING FOR YOU ANYWAY asks what it means to care without disappearing, how inherited patterns shape who we become, and whether it is possible to choose empathy without losing yourself. An empathetic journey full of meaning and absurdity.
