Walk in the Schöneweide district
Why were there so many forced labourers in the Schöneweide district of Berlin during the Second World War? The tour through a former forced labour camp shows the connections between war, war industry and labour exploitation. The tour leads to historical industrial sites in the neighbourhood and traces the development of the area during the Nazi era. In addition to the economic and political history, the stories of individual families who shaped the history of the area are also highlighted.
