Héroïnes Ordinaires
La Ménagerie invites you to four days of theater and improvisation to explore the stories of those who otherwise go unheard – between raw creation and civic engagement.
HIGHLIGHTS:
La fin des mamies (The End of the Grandmas). What do women dream of when they are so close to death that they seem to already be looking behind the curtain? A sensitive piece that weaves together dreams and intimate accounts from nursing homes. With German and English surtitles by the Berlinguists. Bilingual post-show discussion.
Les Insolentes (The Insolent Ones). Three women, a wedding, and stories that emerge live from real-life experiences. A direct improvisation about everyday sexist violence. Performed in French only, without surtitles.
This festival supports the organizations LARA e.V. and SUSI for their work against sexist and sexual violence in Berlin.
