"Harry's Freilach" comes with their program "Klezmer tov!" and clarinet, accordion and guitar to the beautiful church Borgsdorf-Pinnow. The band from Berlin has been successful in the genre of klezmer music for many years.
Klezmer originated in Eastern Jewry and was influenced by Eastern European and Oriental harmonies and rhythms. The melodies are joyful and danceable, melancholic and sometimes quite tragic, often solemn, sometimes desolate, but always of a special intensity.
Harry's Freilach has been performing, from duo to quintet, since 1992: in public and private, in concert halls and open air, in churches and clubs, at parties and celebrations... The program includes traditional freilach, horas, nigunim and Hasidic dances, as well as newer compositions in klezmer style.
