Handlettering Beginner Workshop

For the aesthetically written letters you need a brush pen and a special technique that will be learned in this workshop.


In the hand lettering course, the basics of hand lettering, the art of beautiful writing, are learned in 2 or 4 hours. The course focuses on the hand lettering styles "Brushlettering" and "Faux Calligraphy".

Together with the workshop trainer Sophie, the technique is learned step by step with a brush pen using the alphabet. In addition to the brush lettering technique, you also get to know faux calligraphy. This font is special because it requires no special pens. A pen is enough to perform it, which is why it is very popular with beginners.

At the end the workshop turns to drawing simple doodles and decorative elements that will later decorate your own lettering and make it unique.

Now all the preparations have been made to creatively implement the first lettering, the slogan you have chosen yourself. Various templates and Sophie's advice are available here to inspire and successfully copy the first steps of handlettering.

No prior knowledge is required for the workshop. A handlettering workbook, as well as various materials to try out, to get a comprehensive insight into the artistic field of lettering.
