Food & Culture meets Schloßstraße

Following the great success in 2024, artists, cultural figures and vendors of international food specialities will once again gather at Hermann-Ehlers-Platz from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be opened at 1:15 p.m. by the deputy district mayor, Mr Tim Richter.


For the people of Steglitz, the district and the whole of Berlin, this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a varied stage programme with live music and a comedy dog show, as well as special food specialities.

Around fifteen food vendors will be on site to conjure up culinary delights for the palate. Whether savoury or sweet, there will be something for every taste. For children, there will also be a great, free programme of fun and games: in addition to highlights such as balloon art and face painting by professional make-up artists, exciting craft activities await our younger guests.

Those interested can also immerse themselves in the exciting history of Schloßstraße, one of Berlin's most important shopping streets, on two guided city walks starting at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. To participate, please register by email at wirtschaftsfoerderung@ba-sz.berlin.de.

Of course, this Sunday shopping event is also a great opportunity to stroll through the Das Schloss, Boulevard Berlin and Forum Steglitz shopping centres, which have prepared special offers and attractions for the day.


The event ‘Food & Culture meets Schloßstraße’ draws attention to Schloßstraße and aims to inspire local shoppers, Berliners and tourists alike with the attractions of this shopping street, including the market square. The event is organised by the Steglitz-Zehlendorf Economic Development Agency and sponsored by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises and visitBerlin.
