Durchlüften 2025 – Open Air in the Schlüter Courtyard Live Concerts, DJ Acts

For free, open air and under palm trees: This summer again, the DURCHLÜFTEN festival transforms the Humboldt Forum’s large courtyard into a vibrant meeting point of sound, rhythm, and culture.

Over four weekends, the stage will pulse with music from across the globe: from the raw energy of Mexican Cumbia-punk to the hypnotic groove of Kenyan Dodo Blues, from the electrifying syncopations of Congolese Soukous to the powerful messages of Afro-futuristic big bands. Caribbean-infused Japanese folk, soulful jazz, hip hop, and the joy and resilience of Frafra-gospel round off  this celebration of sound— borderless, multi-perspective, and irresistably danceable!

DJ Selektor Bony (Mexiko, Berlin)

Selektor Bony is a music lover and collector of sounds, born in Mexico City and raised on a steady diet of tropical rhythms and the constant thunder of airplanes over his neighborhood. His search for new experiences led him to Seville, Spain, where he spent over a decade and made waves by organizing the city’s first reggae and cumbia parties. Since moving to Berlin in 2014, he has become a key figure in the city’s Latin music scene, curating the vibrant Cumbia Fest, a celebration of Latin American sound culture in the German capital.

As a DJ, Selektor Bony brings people together through movement, spinning a rich mix of Latin and tropical beats – from cumbia, funk, boogaloo, and cha-cha-cha to the deep echoes of reggae and dub. The result is a musical bridge between eras and regions, where traditional rhythms meet contemporary grooves in an ever-evolving, borderless dancefloor experience.
