Works by Mozart, Dvořák, and El Saedi

Founded in 1959, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra is one of the Middle East's leading orchestras and, under the artistic direction of Ahmed El Saedi, is particularly committed to contemporary music from the region.

To conclude its German tour, the orchestra will perform works by Mozart, Dvořák, and a composition by El Saedi at the Pierre Boulez Hall.

The solo parts in Mozart's Sinfonia concertante will be performed by Michael Barenboim and the French-Egyptian violist Sindy Mohamed – both of whom have been active in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra for many years.
