Markland uses pop music quotes from bands and artists such as the Rolling Stones, Rammstein, Robbie Williams, Die Ärzte, Freddy Quinn, Elvis, Madonna, Seeed, Led Zeppelin and many others to present Goethe's texts in a contemporary approach to classical music.
