As part of the retrospective “Homage to the Early Phase,” Haus Leopold presents a focused overview of Bodo Niggemann’s early artistic work.
The exhibition brings together works spanning several decades and reveals the development of a visual language characterized by constructivist, geometric, and serial structures.
Even in his early works, Niggemann’s particular interest in order, repetition, and the interplay of form and space is evident. Influences from Concrete Art as well as artists such as Victor Vasarely are just as recognizable as the artist’s unique approach to rhythm, materiality, and perception.
