The 2026 Berlin Folk Festival Brings International Folk Artists to the Gretchen Club

On August 29, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m., the Gretchen Club in Berlin will once again become a gathering place for fans of folk, Americana, and singer-songwriters.

Following its successful debut in March 2026, the Berlin Folk Festival invites you to an expanded edition featuring a diverse program of music and culture.

The first Berlin Folk Festival took place at the Festsaal Kreuzberg and delighted around 900 visitors with 17 live performances. The event was presented by MusikExpress, ByteFM, BIC, egoFM, Hejmo, and Rough Trade.

This year’s edition will feature two live music stages, art workshops, TrypExpo workshops, BBQ specialties, and other cultural and culinary offerings.

Among the first confirmed artists are:

Bedouine – The acclaimed singer-songwriter will present her latest album, “Neon Summer Skin.” Her music has been praised by the New York Times, The Guardian, and numerous other international media outlets.

Mia Wilson – Dreamy, atmospheric folk with great emotional depth. Her releases have been honored with, among other accolades, a 4-star review in Shindig! and in Rolling Stone Germany.

James Michael Rodgers – Berlin’s very own alt-folk balladeer, whose haunting songs blend traditional folk elements with contemporary storytelling.

LEETA – Blending the songwriting spirit of the 1970s with the guitar sounds of the early 1990s, LEETA creates a distinctive, timeless sound.

Additional artists will be announced in the coming months.

The Berlin Folk Festival 2026 promises a day full of live music, creative encounters, and inspiring discoveries—and continues to establish itself as a fixture in Berlin’s folk and Americana scene.
