Even though the Bauhaus Archive will still be closed for some time, those interested can already experience it from a new perspective. The walk starts at the old and future location of the institution with the world's most extensive Bauhaus collection. Here, the restoration of the building with the distinctive shed roofs in accordance with the preservation order and its expansion are currently being realized.

From the bauhaus view, they look over the construction site and onto the extension planned by Berlin architect Volker Staab, which will offer plenty of space for exhibition and educational work in the future. Along the Landwehr Canal with exciting buildings of the International Building Exhibition from the 1980s, the path leads to the Kulturforum, which has once again become an architectural highlight with the reopened New National Gallery and the much-discussed Museum of the 20th Century currently under construction. Building designs by two Bauhaus directors - Walter Gropius and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe - as well as the influences of modern Bauhaus ideas and the future of the Kulturforum will be examined more closely during the tour.
