The Long Night of Museums is
Berlin's most cultural night and also the original of all Long Museum Nights
worldwide. Over the years, a wonderful little idea has turned into a major
city-wide event. With 80 museums and around 800 events, the 38th Long Night of
Museums promises once again to be the highlight of Berlin's museum summer.

For example, SCHLOSS BRITZ with its castle park and manor house will be presented in a nocturnal atmosphere on the occasion of the Long Night of the Museums.
Built in 1706 together with a baroque commercial and pleasure garden, the estate experienced its heyday in 1753-95 under Ewald Friedrich Graf von Hertzberg, who established it as a model of economic agriculture. Over the years the estate has been adapted to the respective use. Its present shape dates back to the 1880s, when the then owner had the façade renewed in the neo-Renaissance style. After restoration in 1985-88 by the district of Neukölln, the ensemble is open to the public.
The art historians of the house are available for guided tours during this long night and provide an overview of the history of the estate and its inhabitants as well as the lifestyle of the late 19th century. The manor house with its historical rooms provides an excellent insight into the home decor of the Wilhelminian period. In addition, the castle park and manor can be visited at night. Schloss Britz is also a stopover for the Oldtimer Kieztour through Kreuzberg and Neukölln.
Guided tour of the museum rooms: 7 pm, 9 pm and midnight
