In fall 2025, the Literary Colloquium Berlin (LCB) will once again transform into a hotspot for comic art: Around 50 comic artists will meet at Wannsee for the "24-Hour Comic," a creative marathon with a clear mission: to create 24-page, individual comics within 24 hours.

The theme will remain secret until shortly before the start, ensuring excitement and spontaneity. Then it's time to draw, write, and color—accompanied by the regular gong, which makes the time pressure palpable. Of course, breaks are also allowed!

All created works—whether complete or unfinished—will be published on the LCB's sketch blog.

A highlight for all comic fans: On Saturday evening, the LCB will open its doors to the public. Visitors can watch the artists at work. In addition, Brazilian journalist Augusto Paim will conduct on-stage discussions with renowned comic artists – including Audrey Lefebvre, creator of the official 2025 image, and Nora Krug, award-winning author and international bestseller.

Since 2019, the format has been an integral part of the Berlin comics scene and was once aptly described by Peter Auge Lorenz (Comic Library Renate) as "a mixture of jazz and endurance sports." International online participation will also be included in 2025: The Brazilian media arts school Inko will join via the LCB's digital platform VOOO – Villa of One's Own.
