Whether it's a studio complex in a historic location, a gallery in the neighborhood, or a hidden art oasis in the countryside – Lichtenberg's creative venues shine brighter than ever at night.

True to the motto “Enjoy art where it is made,” more than 50 venues in the district will open their doors on Friday, September 5, inviting visitors to enjoy art, culture, and exchange.

The open kick-off at 3:30 p.m. at Lichtenberg Town Hall (Möllendorffstraße 6, 10367 Berlin) will feature hands-on activities, art, and music. At 5 p.m., the Long Night of Pictures will be officially opened.

Starting at 6 p.m., the creative scene will open its doors and showcase the broad spectrum of its art – not “just” pictures, but also sculptures, installations, performance art, and concerts. Everything can be explored on your own. A shuttle bus will make it easier to hop between the many locations.

Or you can sign up for one of the six guided walking tours. This is possible from August 18 to September 4, 6 p.m., at kulturring@langenachtderbilder.de or by calling 030 516 560 04. All offers are free of charge.

The program can be found online at www.langenachtderbilder.de, and a folding map for orientation is available at participating locations and in public institutions. The Long Night of Images is organized by the Lichtenberg District Office in cooperation with Kulturring in Berlin e. V. and with financial support from Howoge Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH.
