On 22 March 1876, Emperor Wilhelm I officially opened the National Gallery building on Museum Island. We are celebrating the 150. anniversery with a diverse and colourful programme. You are cordially invited to join us!
Discover the largest work of art in the collection: the building itself, inside and out. Get to know the curators' favourite objects, go on a search for clues with the restorers, or find out why the painting ‘Mors Imperator’ caused such a scandal in the new special exhibition.
- Information stand for the programme in the lower foyer
- Participation in all guided tours is free with a valid admission ticket.
- Children and young people have free admission.
