Eichepark Marzahn

Local recreation & nature experiences in the neighbourhood

The Oak Park (Eichepark) is an approximately 35 hectares landscape park in Marzahn. It forms the northern starting point of the Wuhletal hiking trail and provides a link to the Brandenburg village of Eiche and the Barnimer Feldmark. The landmark of the park is the climbing rock "Wuhletalwächter", which consists of 550 concrete slabs of former balconies of the Marzahn housing association. The area of the Oak Park also includes several large pasturages, where Scottish Highland cattle graze.

Eichepark is a vibrant piece of urban nature in the heart of Marzahn. Nestled between residential areas, playgrounds and small gardens, the park offers wide lawns, old oak trees and quiet paths for walking, jogging or relaxing.

A park for all generations
Whether it's a family picnic, a morning stroll or an evening run - Eichepark is a popular meeting place for people from the neighbourhood. In addition to a large playground and benches, the park also offers open meadows, small ponds and near-natural areas that are home to rare birds and insects.

Designed close to nature
As part of the International Garden Exhibition 2017, the park was partially redesigned and adapted to the needs of residents. New paths, barrier-free access and ecological planting make Eichepark a modern example of green urban development in Berlin.

Neighbourhood tip
Close to the Eichepark is the Flower Tower, the famous planted tower block on "Allee der Kosmonauten". Both places can be wonderfully combined on a walk.
