Discgolf

The round thing has to go in the square thing. That was the opinion of Germany’s first World Cup winning trainer, Sepp Herberger. “Disc golfers” say the round thing has to go in the round thing. Namely the round frisbee in a round basket. Like golf, it is played on an 18 hole course. From a set starting point, the nimble disc is thrown towards the basket. Whoever gets it in using the fewest throws is the winner. So the rules of the game are very simple. That, and the closeness to nature and the cheap purchase costs make the game so popular. The beginnings are easy to learn. Thus disc golf is also highly suitable for families. There are even several tournaments in Berlin every year. It is played in the Volkspark Rehberge or in Potsdam in the Volkspark.
