Once again this year, the Förderkreis Eine Welt im Auswärtigen Amt e.V. invites you to the Christmas bazaar in the atrium of the Federal Foreign Office in Mitte.
You will soon realise that this is no ordinary Christmas market: Here you can discover unusual, exotic, new, old, beautiful and unusual souvenirs from all over the world that you won't find anywhere else in Berlin.
At Christmas 1978, an initiative was launched by young employees of the Federal Foreign Office who wanted to get involved in development policy and two years later the non-profit organisation "Projekthilfe Dritte Welt" was founded. in 2000, this was renamed "Förderkreis Eine Welt im Auswärtigen Amt e.V.". 100 per cent of the proceeds from the Christmas bazaar in the atrium of the Federal Foreign Office go towards worldwide projects to help people help themselves in developing countries.

Beautiful and curious things that diplomatic life abroad has to offer are sold here. The diplomats of the Federal Foreign Office donate unusual and extraordinary items such as pictures, vases, jewellery and textiles, souvenirs from all over the world, which they were allowed to receive.

Our tips for your visit to the Christmas Bazaar in the atrium of the Federal Foreign Office
After your visit to the Christmas Bazaar in the atrium of the Federal Foreign Office, visit one of the many museums and magnificent buildings along the boulevard Unter den Linden or pay a visit to other Christmas markets in the Mitte district.
There are increased security conditions at the Federal Foreign Office. At the entrance, you will have to go through a security check similar to those at airports. Please also bring your identity card or passport with you.

How to get there
The Christmas Bazaar takes place in the atrium of the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany at Werderscher Markt on the banks of the Kupfergraben in the Mitte district, not far from the new Humboldt Forum. We recommend travelling by public transport.
