In the small orangery at Charlottenburg Palace, Esther Dischereit and Lucas Brown are presenting the performance

"Tutti Frutti Box or SOLO Si ES Si | ONLY YES | NUR JA."

With this performance, Esther Dischereit and Lucas Brown respond to Frauke Wilken’s exhibition “cocooning.”

The performance, presented in German and English, engages with the textile installation through text, voice, and song.

In this way, the larger-than-life objects in the exhibition are activated not only visually but also linguistically.

In the solo exhibition “cocooning,” Frauke Wilken has developed a site-specific installation made of fabric for the Kleine Orangerie at Charlottenburg Palace.

Her textile sculptures hang suspended from the ceiling; coarse stitches, bulging forms, and seam lines reminiscent of scars lend them a biomorphic presence that is at once fragile and resilient.

The title refers to the cocoon as a protective space of transformation as well as to the social phenomenon of retreating into the domestic sphere.
