Melanie Ender

The exhibition *almost in between* at the Kunsthaus Dahlem is Austrian artist Melanie Ender’s first solo exhibition in Germany.

For this occasion, Ender developed a series of delicate, site-specific installations that engage in a dialogue with the building’s architecture and its history as a site of artistic production.

The works continue Ender’s process-oriented practice, which is characterized by workflows, spatial perception, and an intensive engagement with material as an active counterpart.

Melanie Ender lives and works in Vienna. She studied at the University of Applied Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, has received several major grants, and has participated in international residency programs. Since 2009, her works have been presented nationally and internationally in galleries, museums, and exhibition venues and are included in both private and public collections.
