Thesea Rigou (they/them) is a Cypriot interdisciplinary artist, educator, and gardener based in Berlin. Rigou’s artistic practice focuses on socio-ecological themes and combines installations, performances, and printmaking through an interweaving of theoretical inquiry and material experiments. As an art educator, Rigou enjoys creating safe spaces for critical exchange and political discourse, drawing on experiences from collaborative and self-organized projects.
Riley Davidson (they/them) is a U.S.-based interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin who works at the intersection of performance, ritual, and social critique. Davidson has experience in Butoh, clowning, contemporary dance, as well as queer performance formats such as drag, burlesque, and ritual performance. In their work with participatory theater and experience design, Davidson utilizes physically grounded forms of political education through ritual and adaptations of myths. As a self-proclaimed “feral artist,” their work is site- and community-specific and is conceived as an affective response to social topographies as well as an engagement with the structures that shape our lives.
This format was originally conceived by Alvin Collantes and Thesea Rigou.
