A discovery tour through the masterpieces of industrial architecture—the daylight factories of the historic Oberschöneweide Transformer Plant. Huge production halls, a historic power plant, and a rich history: these “aesthetic factory buildings” bear witness to the New Objectivity movement in industrial architecture. Like a glass skin, light-filled walls envelop the steel skeleton.
The monumental assembly hall is supported by steel frames and enveloped by “curtain walls.”
Thanks to the glazed side walls, ideal lighting conditions prevail in the production area.
