A workshop at Spreepark that invites participants to put themselves in the shoes of the park’s animal residents.
They begin with a walk through Spreepark, during which they consciously observe their surroundings. In doing so, they aim to put themselves in the shoes of various animals and collectively consider what their perspective on Spreepark might be:
What perspective does a bird, an ant, or a fox have here? Why might this place be interesting to this creature, and what is its relationship to its surroundings?
Afterward, they collect natural materials such as sticks, stones, feathers, leaves, and much more. We then use these items to create our own small work of art.
Perhaps something will emerge in which an animal would feel at home, or that reflects its view of the world.
Participants will draw inspiration from the paper art of Japanese artist Kazuko Miyamoto and explore their own relationship with nature.
- The workshop is open to everyone—no prior experience is necessary.
