Discover the fascinating world of bats on our workshop tour through Spreepark.
Examples of particularly fascinating or quirky behaviors and adaptations will be presented, such as the distinctive social behavior of vampire bats and much more.
Participants will benefit from the instructors’ anecdotes and research findings and have the rare opportunity to experience cutting-edge research firsthand with an experienced scientist.
Armed with this new knowledge, we’ll set out at sunset to search for bats in Spreepark.
Along the way, we’ll learn about modern bat detection methods, particularly the use of echolocation detectors. Together, we’ll explore different areas of the park where various species are expected to be found and experience these nocturnal fliers up close.
