Comics about Diaspora and Belonging

The group exhibition “Stories We Carry: Comics on Diaspora and Belonging” at the Kommunale Galerie Berlin brings together international comic and graphic novel artists whose works explore experiences of migration, diaspora, identity, and belonging.

Through illustrated narratives, sequences, and installation elements, the works explore what it means to live between languages, cultures, places, and memories.

The participating artists approach these themes from diverse personal and cultural perspectives, connecting individual experiences with broader social contexts.

As part of the Comic Invasion Berlin 2026 Focus Program, the exhibition highlights the potential of comics to connect artistic voices and perspectives across cultural boundaries.
