The Gorillas Improvisation Berlin

Gorillas musician Felix Raffel is not only a fantastic accompanist for improv shows, but also a renowned Richard Wagner expert. On this evening, a lavish ensemble gathers around him to explore the work of this brilliant yet controversial composer through improvisation.

In the first half, the performers will work with the audience to establish a setting, characters, and locations, before the grand Wagnerian venture begins after the intermission:

an improvised opera that breaks down the fundamental themes of love and suffering, power and powerlessness, life and death into the backyard world of Ratibor—comedy in every tragic twist, tragedy in every comic turn.

The Pedicure could be the title of such an improvised opera, or perhaps Christian and the Beloved?

(in German)

  • Performance duration approx. 2x50 minutes plus a 15-minute intermission
