The Ostkreuz School of Photography’s master class presents its latest works from the past two years.

The exhibition Mind the Gap navigates the spaces in between: between what no longer applies and what is not yet. Between the familiar and the unknown, between uncertainty and doubt, between the visible and the elusive.

“Mind the Gap” brings together 15 works that explore areas of tension and processes of transformation. They focus on the fragmentary, on transitions, upheavals, and the vague, which reveal themselves in times of upheaval.

The series address central social and personal themes: violence and its traces, experiences of flight and border crossings, fragmented family histories, the

relationship between humans and nature, gender roles and identity, and even questions of extraterrestrial life.

The Master Class is the postgraduate program at the Ostkreuz School of Photography in Berlin.

Under the direction of Prof. Linn Schröder and Ingo Taubhorn, a rich spectrum of artistic works was developed with the master’s students between 2024 and 2026.
