Special guided tour of selected works of art

In January 2001, Oranienburg Palace Museum opened its newly established permanent exhibition. Since then, precious works of art from the 17th and 18th centuries have told the story of the Brandenburg-Prussian ruling house and its passion for collecting.

The permanent exhibition focuses on the palace's former inhabitants – Louise Henriette of Orange, the Great Elector, and Frederick I. Paintings, porcelain, tapestries, and furniture bring their era to life and, through their provenance and history, extend far beyond the former territory.

To mark its 25th anniversary, the museum is highlighting 25 selected works. Various themed tours explore power, politics, courtly representation, and personal fates. They also recount the global connections of the 17th century, cultural exchange, and the horrific abuse of power.
