58th Cabinet Exhibition
Georg Weise's artistic work encompasses painting, drawing, and sculpture. In his paintings, he transforms memories of childhood and youth into mystical, partly abstract landscapes with images of growth and transience.
His works deal with nature and humanity, exploring themes of loneliness, longing for redemption, and vulnerability, without creating idealized representations. This results in a unique visual language that invites viewers to engage personally with the moods depicted and to enter into a dialogue with a self-portrait.
Bishop Dr. Christian Stäblein regularly invites artists to present their work at the Protestant Center. These smaller-scale exhibitions showcase artistic positions in painting, graphic arts, sculpture, or photography, enriching the dialogue between the Church and contemporary art.
The cabinet exhibitions at the Protestant Center Berlin are a collaboration with the St. Matthew Foundation.
