The „Schizzo-Club“ reopens

When Rigaer Strasse was still largely occupied and almost every basement housed a bar, club, or exhibition, the “legendary” club “Schizzo-Temple” was located at number 77.

The 1990s in Friedrichshain were marked by upheaval, vacancy, and the brief summer of anarchy. The eviction of Mainzer Straße, the merging of East and West Berlin, and gentrification changed the neighborhood and continue to do so. Today, the Theater im Kino is at home in the rooms of the “Schizzo” and is reviving the club with the performance “Theatre Techno Tempel.”

Immerse yourself in the world of the 1990s, in the stories, the reports, and the attitude towards life. Discuss questions of freedom, security, and coexistence and lose yourself in the dark rooms of the “Schizzo.”
