build and look. Peep-box workshop for all ages
In its simplest form, the camera obscura is a darkened room into which light only enters from outside through a small hole, thus, as if by magic, projecting an image of the outside world into the interior. This camera is the beginning of photography, the ancestor of all photographic cameras.
This workshop will explore how it works.
Using very simple materials such as cardboard, adhesive tape and tracing paper to create your own camera obscuras or peep boxes that allow you to experience the magic of projected light and view and perceive sections of your surroundings in a new way.
The self-made cameras can be taken home at the end of the workshop.
Limited number of participants. Registration is requested. Please send an e-mail to kontakt(at)labor-m.berlin.
„Open Workshop“ events are hosted by fluent English speakers and can be run bilingually.
