Berlin's first floating bathtub
Bathing in the open air, whatever the weather - even in winter - and right in the centre of Berlin: Germany's first bathing steamer makes it possible. Since 2019, it has been sailing across the Spree as a floating bathtub. The pretty mini steamer is a real sight to behold. Directly on the hot tub is a gleaming chimney from a wood-burning stove, which does not power the boat but heats the hot tub to a pleasant 40 degrees Celsius.
The circular tub can hold up to six people. The wide rim offers space for snacks and cool drinks. The helmsman and captain can also sit in the warm water, as the rudder in the stern can be operated directly from the pool. You do not need a boating licence, a short introduction is sufficient. However, helmsmen and helmswomen should be over 18 years old. Children from the age of six are welcome on board and travel free of charge up to the age of 12.
