The fourth weekend of May will readily become a long weekend this year thanks to the Ascension Day holiday on Thursday (5 May). Ascension is also marked as Father's Day in Germany. And what could be a better place to spend it than in Berlin? Let our tips give you some ideas on how to spend the weekend in Berlin.
It's a traditional day to head out to Mother Nature, whether it's on a longer excursion to the countryside surrounding Berlin or to one of Berlin's numerous forests and parks. It's also a great day to hold a picnic or have a cook-out with friends.
