Old masters and young artists

The old masters, important Modernist works and contemporary art: In Berlin's art museums you can wander through all eras of art history.

Pay a visit to Nefertiti in the Neues Museum (New Museum) and The Man with the Golden Helmet at the Gemäldegalerie (Picture Gallery). You can admire masterpieces from Romanticism and Impressionism at the Alte Nationalgalerie (Old National Gallery). Stroll through the magnificent Charlottenburg Palace with its wonderful rococo paintings. You can see Modern art masterpieces at museums such as Museum Berggruen, the Berlinische Galerie and the Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection. Hamburger Bahnhof and the KINDL – Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst exhibit contemporary art.
