Exhibition: 20.05.2025 to 24.08.2025: I am all that! The Christoph Müller I gift - a world of words and images

The exhibition "I am all that" invites visitors to immerse themselves in Christoph Müller's diverse art collection. The donation comprises around 200 works from the art collector Christoph Müller to the Kupferstichkabinett - including drawings, prints and watercolours. The works of art span a fascinating arc over five centuries and show not only an impressive variety of pictorial motifs, but also a great deal of personal history: they reflect Müller's individual preferences and his special relationship to art. The exhibition unfolds in four consecutive themed exhibitions, with each presentation highlighting a different facet of his collection.

The presentation refers to Müller's activities as a publisher and critic as well as his passion for art and collecting. An interest in art and culture manifests itself in many ways: some people collect books and pictures, others are interested in music, religious and philosophical themes. Some of the exhibited works are dedicated to the artistic representation of knowledge, its transmission and appropriation through reading, but also to creativity and intellectual exchange.

From 20 May 2025 to 14 June 2026, part of this collection will be presented in four changing exhibitions in the Cabinet in the Picture Gallery.
