Consonantrix ∞ bodies coming-into-accord

Consonantrix is a body-oriented workshop and a practice of attunement: whilst the bodies remain individual, they attune to one another through shared dreams, sounds, listening, touch, weight and movement. The workshop takes place in groups of two to four people, formed through dream resonance.

Participants are invited to create sounds from their dreams through bodily gestures and to select their partners on the basis of shared, resonant experiences.

With the aid of a sequence composed by Olga Kozmanidze, they explore the shifting relationships between distance, vibration and touch, and sense how attention shifts, how reciprocity is negotiated and how collective attunement takes shape.

The practice is deepened through the use of Sentire, an interactive sound system that makes bodily relationships audible via a portable device, thereby expanding bodily awareness and social interaction. Sentire originated from the interdisciplinary project of the same name, the performance series and the collective formed by Kozmanidze, Pascal Staudt and Marcello Lussana (2016–2024).

By creating a shared soundscape, Sentire amplifies the after-effects of the sense of touch and allows them to linger, even as physical contact gradually subsides.

The three-hour workshop covers four scores in succession, each of which explores how the physical comes into harmony through distance, proximity and touch, gravity and weight, as well as through the Sentire sound system.

There will be a 10–15-minute break after every two scores.
