BAB Series “My Neighborhood: Stories of Divided Berlin” in Lichtenberg

What was life like in Lichtenberg during the GDR era—and what memories remain to this day?

Residents of Lichtenberg are cordially invited to bring their photo albums to a storytelling café and, in a cozy atmosphere, share their experiences and stories from the GDR era or recount the stories told by older family members.

To kick things off, Dr. Dirk Moldt, historian and head of archives at the Lichtenberg Museum, will present historical photographs from the museum’s collection.

If you’d like to bring your own photos, please register in advance at: anna.kokenge@aufarbeitung-berlin.de or 030 24 07 92-14.

Venue:

Kiezspinne FAS e. V.

Schulze-Boysen-Straße 38

10365 Berlin

The event is being held in cooperation with the Museum Lichtenberg, Kiezspinne FAS e. V., and the Berlin Commissioner for Coming to Terms with the SED Dictatorship (BAB) and is part of the BAB event series “My Neighborhood: Stories of Divided Berlin.”
