The magic lies in contemplation, in the essence itself, and in leisure. For these pillars support our lives - silent, humble, knowing giants, sometimes for centuries. They give us strength, provide shade, challenge children, bear fruit, serve as a home for many animals, and… Don’t we already know all that?

The delicate white trunks of the birch trees in Hubrechtsfelde or the pine forest standing in military order, where the slender trunks turn orange in the evening light, are a feast for the eyes and the soul.
The artist Ines Schulze loves to let herself be enchanted - in the forest, in the fields, on the seashore, and along tree-lined avenues. There, she tries to capture the fascination of the trees on paper using a brush, watercolors, water, and pencils.
A selection of her watercolors has been on display since May 7, 2026, on the second floor of the Wolfdietrich-Schnurre Library.
The exhibition concludes with a closing reception on September 4, 2026, at 16:30
