aiel

aiel is the left field ambient music project from Berlin based Greek artist Ellis Papadaki. Her influences are branching through experimental and left-field electronic music, weaving from unique ambient sound design to pop-coded arrangements, and hazy guitar loops. Her latest release include the ethereal sound of Owing (2026) on the Paris label Dalf Records, while additional sets and releases have been played in radio stations such as NTS, radio.syg.ma, Kiosk Radio and Test FM. Her storytelling is based on an exploration on themes of healing, and self-reflection while asking an opaque question of what it means to be human in a post-industrial metaverse. Her latest project is based on a 40-minute live performance unfolding as an atmosphere of sound and text, centered on her unreleased album Matters of the Heart. Together with her band members Edoardo Micheli (guitar) and Germaine Png(drums), aiel presents a musical cycle of tracks created during periods of snowfall and strongly inspired by the work of Hideaki Anno.. Drawing from a number of genres such as ambient, shoegaze and left field club music, the sound prioritizes intimacy and immersion over clarity and display: an invitation to a liminal emotional sonic landscape.

Xingqi Liu

Trigger Warning: The Unresolved is an experimental live project in which Xingqi Liu brings sound and performance together. It is also her response as an artist to her own experience, the recent Chinese drug-facilitated rape cases in Germany, and the everyday dangers women face in a misogynistic society. Using condoms, a judge’s gavel, sampled voices, and electronic noise, she explores anger, resistance, accusation, questioning, and a sense of powerlessness. The performance may change each time and may include moments of audience participation, exploring the space between the stage and reality.
