The Fiestravaganza International Music Academy 2026 will once again take place at the UdK Berlin. With four concerts, FIMA 2026 will showcase selected young piano and string talents from around the world in Berlin.

The concert series includes an opening and closing gala with an orchestra, a chamber music concert, and a solo concert, featuring diverse programs of piano, string, and chamber music works.

FIMA is one of Berlin’s premier summer academies for young musicians. Building on its successful piano program, it is expanding its offerings in 2026 to include a comprehensive string program for violin, viola, and cello.

Participants benefit from master classes, workshops, chamber music projects, and individually tailored artistic guidance. A special focus is placed on combining soloistic excellence, chamber music collaboration, and orchestral experience.

Opening Gala (July 22 | 7:00 p.m.) & Closing Gala (July 31 | 7:00 p.m.)

The centerpiece of the opening and closing galas is Concerto Fiestravaganza: a piano and

string concerto marathon in which young orchestra musicians support even younger soloists.

Selected FIMA participants will perform alongside the Camerata Fiestravaganza under the direction of Evan-Alexis Christ.

Joining them on stage will be Berlin-based Singaporean pianist Shaun Choo.

Chamber Music Concert (July 28 | 7:00 p.m.)

The chamber music concert brings together young pianists and string players from FIMA with members of the Fiestravaganza Ensemble.

In various ensemble configurations, they will present a program that reflects the intensive collaborative rehearsals of the academy.

Solo Concert (July 29 | 7:00 p.m.)

The solo concert also offers insights into the participants’ individual artistic development and focuses on selected works for piano and strings.

In collaboration with the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), all four concerts will take place in the UdK’s renowned concert halls, including the Grand Concert Hall and the Joseph Joachim Concert Hall.

The concert series invites Berlin audiences to encounter young musicians from around the world at a special moment in their artistic development. Between solo brilliance, the intimacy of chamber music, and the grandeur of the orchestral stage, a vivid glimpse into the future of classical music emerges.
