Interactive ASMR performance by Dina Kelberman
Inspired by her installation “The Wave,” visitors are invited to join artist Dina Kelberman in exploring sponge videos, ambient sounds, and tactile forms of image production.
In the courtyard of C/O Berlin, small ASMR film stations have been set up, inviting visitors to experiment, film, and listen. Visitors can bring their own sponges and produce short ASMR videos with their smartphones. Over the course of the afternoon, visitors can discover the genre and become part of a temporary audiovisual landscape.
The starting point is Kelberman’s installation “The Wave,” for which she collected thousands of ASMR videos of sponges on Instagram: hands in rubber gloves squeezing, lathering, and tearing sponges in endless repetition. Straddling the line between a soothing sensory experience and visual overload, the work explores the unique tension within digital ASMR culture between intimacy, public exposure, and physical response.
