Science meets Urban Art

This free, open workshop combines creative design with scientific discovery. Children and teens build their own spray bottles using everyday, safe materials.

A chemical reaction creates excess pressure inside the bottle. Just like with a real spray can, the children and teens use this to create a unique work of art.

The basics of chemistry, physics, and art are taught in a playful way: the creation of pressure, color mixing, layering, visual effects—and all of it hands-on.

“Mix it. Shake it. Spray it.” is an educational program that combines creativity with STEM topics and social participation.

The goal is to give children ages 9 and up from the neighborhood and all over Berlin access to creative work and science education—in an accessible, empowering way that makes discovery fun.
