“MAMA MUH – The Craziest Cow in the World” by Jujja Wieslander and Sven Nordqvist: Bielefeld Chamber Puppet Theater

Mama Muh is different from other cows. Just standing in the pasture and grazing is too boring for her. Mama Muh wants to learn how to ride a bike. Krah, the crow, is beside himself: “Cows can’t ride bikes,” he says. Mama Muh wants to try anyway. But that’s not all.

In this production by Kammerpuppenspiele, Mama Muh climbs trees, builds treehouses, and swings. Krah flaps his wings in disbelief every time! The crow has his wings full just keeping the farmer from noticing the crazy things Mama Muh is up to. Together, they go on many adventures, with the two friends sticking together through thick and thin.

This “cool” theatrical fun is rounded out by wonderful characters, skillful acting, and authentic Swedish music with live singing.

The Chamber Puppet Theater stages the stories of Jujja Wieslander and Sven Nordqvist—who also created “Pettersson and Findus,” among other works—with a loving attention to detail and colorful sets.
