Workshop Series Paper Surface and Structure
How does paper change under pressure, tension, and movement? In this workshop, participants will explore bending as a design element for creating three-dimensional surfaces and spatial forms.
Through curves, tension, and soft transitions, organic structures emerge between surface and object. Through experimental work with different types of paper, they explore stability, lightness, and the interplay of light, shadow, and movement.
The focus is on free experimentation and the conscious perception of materiality and form.
