Lulu Santos released his debut album, *Tempos Modernos*, in 1982. His blend of pop, rock, and samba made him a hitmaker for over 50 years, collaborating with MPB artists such as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, and Gal Costa.

In 2024, Lulu received two awards at the Latin Grammys: the Lifetime Achievement Award and the award for Best Urban Song in Portuguese for “Cachimbo da Paz 2” featuring Gabriel O Pensador and Xamã.
His latest tour, “Barítono,” drew over 2 million people across 109 concerts in Brazil and the United States. Lulu has sold over 15 million albums and remains relevant in the digital age, racking up billions of streams on music apps. He served as a coach on all 12 seasons of “The Voice Brasil” until the show ended in 2023.
