The interdisciplinary program includes music, performance, literature, discussions, and workshops. The focus is on topics such as aging, social participation, body image, memory, and new beginnings. The goal is to bring different forms of artistic expression into dialogue with one another and to open up new narrative spaces.
Among the participating figures are film producer Regina Ziegler, actress Gesine Cukrowski, comic artist Ulli Lust, and journalist Silke Burmester. The program is complemented by contributions from other female artists and experts in the fields of music, performance, academia, and cultural education.
In addition to panel discussions and readings, the festival also offers interactive activities such as workshops on topics related to the body, health, and autobiographical writing, as well as dance performances. Musical offerings range from choral performances to live concerts, complemented by an evening event featuring a DJ set.
“Luxoria” is aimed at a cross-generational audience and sees itself as a space for exchange, encounter, and artistic engagement with social issues surrounding visibility and representation.
