Taking the stage will be: the London-based sextet Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Meagre Martin from Berlin, and the Spanish band ULEX.
True to the concept of bringing together international acts with Spanish artists, the lineup once again unites a diverse selection of emerging voices from the current indie scene.
With Man/Woman/Chainsaw, SON Estrella Galicia presents one of the most exciting new acts on the British alternative scene. The band blends post-punk and art-rock influences into an energetic and unpredictable live show. Together with Meagre Martin and ULEX, the evening brings together three distinct acts with different sounds and influences.
Man/Woman/Chainsaw consists of Billy Ward (vocals, guitar), Emmie-Mae Avery (vocals, keys/synths), Vera Leppänen (vocals, bass), Clio Starwood (violin), Lola Cherry (drums), and Billy Doyle (guitar). Described by Rolling Stone at SXSW as “a young band in the process of creating something ecstatically new,” the London-based sextet—founded by childhood friends Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen when they were just 16 years old—has already garnered significant attention from media outlets such as The Quietus, The Guardian, NME, The Line Of Best Fit, DIY, So Young, Stereogum, The Fader, and BBC 6 Music. With their debut EP “Eazy Peazy” (2024), released on the indie label Fat Possum Records, the band marks an important step in their development. Their debut album “Cannonball” is set to be released on August 7.
SON Estrella Galicia is the music platform of the Galician beer brand Estrella Galicia, combining music, culture, talent, and enjoyment into unique live experiences. The project has established itself as a driving force in curating extraordinary concert formats in Spain and is now also active in countries such as the UK, Portugal, the US, Brazil, and Uruguay. In 2025, SON Estrella Galicia launched its Microfestival series in Berlin with four consecutive sold-out shows, bringing its signature blend of independent live music and beer culture to a local audience for the first time.
As a music-focused extension of the independent, fourth-generation family-run brewery Estrella Galicia (founded in 1906), SON Estrella Galicia has been combining beer culture with special musical experiences since 2009. The carefully curated lineups feature acts such as Yaeji, Roosevelt, DEADLETTER, 2manyDJs, Panic Shack, Militarie Gun, Crack Cloud, and Dream Wife, and are complemented by collaborations with innovative food concepts as well as a clear focus on immersive, community-oriented experiences.
Sustainability is a central component of the project, exemplified by the SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia Festival on Formentera. This festival made history as the first in the world to achieve True Platinum Zero Waste status from the GBCI. Rooted in Galicia, Estrella Galicia works closely with local farmers and producers to ensure responsible production processes and to continuously develop sustainable products and event formats.
Estrella Galicia, the flagship brand of Hijos de Rivera, an independent fourth-generation family brewery, was founded in 1906 in A Coruña. Today, it is represented in over 70 countries worldwide, including Germany, where it has been steadily gaining popularity since 2003.
